Hello,

To everyone that collects Barbie.I just read the what Sandi posted for us about CBS and that the Brats are making such a commotion. As a Barbie Collector I would like to express myself without offending anyone that collects the Brats. It isn't the first time that this happens. Many people that aren't into Barbie for some reason desire to see the Pink Princess fall.In the time that I have been collecting I've heard of a lot of dolls that "They say it's beating Barbie".My fellow Collector's of Barbie there is no doll not even the Brats that can ever beat the Pink Princess. In my area sometime ago a doll called "Beety La Fea" had gained popularity and according to sales she had beat Barbie. The doll,no offense it was not a good looking doll. The series that the doll was made for was a Spanish soap, but time before the soap finished the doll didn't sell and Barbie got her place,or better yet she never lost it.Barbie is classic beauty, some thing that we all love.Who doesn't love beauty? It's like asking."Who doesn't like money"?Who ever tells you they don't like money or beauty they are lien.Simple as that.

Barbie has the proportions of a paper doll.As a Little girl back in my country I dram of such a doll that didn't know she existed until I came to the U.S.A.I didn't want the baby dolls or the rag dolls I wanted something in 3D like the paper dolls. To me and to the many collector's out there that believe in Barbie. She is the best doll ever made and I doubt with all my heart that she will ever end in second place.

Look at Barbie she looks like us like a human.A beautiful  11 and 1/2 inch human doll that you can dress as you like. There is a Barbie for everyone.Barbie is beautiful and forever will be,there is simply no competition. The invention of Mrs. Handler was the best ever.Barbie is 45 or 46 you think that a doll with a record like that can be beaten?I don't think so.Brats to me all look the same a lot of makeup, big heads and not realistic as Barbie.Barbie has different face molds across time and even has brought them back.In my opinion of my or our pink princess no body absolutely no body can ever beat her! My post is dedicated to Barbie and to the Collector's like me that worship her work through the years.

Hey there Pinkladies!  I can agree with Barbie never loosing her place.  She hasn't lost her spot in my collection at all.  I don't really care for the Bratz myself, but I can understand that people would like more choices. That is the way I feel about my Jem dolls.  Their popularity was real short, but I still have mine and I wouldn't trade them for the world.  I think the Bratz are just another doll choice and that is all.

I'm missing my old Barbie Board. I sure wish Mattel would rethink the exclusivity of the BB tomorrow.  I hope the folks there will come here and let everyone know how the new board is and all.  Doing fine for now.

I heard the board is ok,but that it's not what it used to be.I got a certificate from a friend and tried to send it through the computer but the Barbie collector website says it not valid.I called and the operator also tried putting it for me through the computer and it did not work either,so she said to send it thought the mail. I'll see if I get a doll because as I see it maybe by the time I'm able to go to the post office and also wait till it gets there probably won't be any memberships left. Well but I don't think we are missing anything Chris because, like I said before the board is probably not the same.I also wish Mattel would change their way around. The board was sure one of the coolest boards around.I miss it a lot.

Me to. I loved going there and having fun.  It was a wonderful place for us to meet and get to know one another. And talk of our passion for Barbie.  It was a relief for me as I could talk to thousands of other collectors and not feel bad that I love Barbie.  Whoever decided this change was for the best really screwed things up for me.  If Barbie's popularity doesn't drop a bit because of this, in protest, I would be surprised.  I bet we can't even get sneak peeks any more.  That was another part that I liked. I could see dolls that were being released this year.

Hi Chris and pinkladies, I've been on the bulletin board. I think it's the same as before, in regards to the posts, it's a little slower on sneaks and stuff, but I don't always have to time to post here or there anyway. As for the Bratz vs Barbie issue, my daughter collects both, so even though she likes Bratz, it's still not taking away anything from Barbie. I'm not into the Bratz though Barbies still No. 1 with me.

This is the whole story...

First, M.G.A entertainment made Bratz after Barbie which is Mattel. But then, Bratz outsold Barbie! (I hate Barbie but love Bratz) Then Barbie copy Bratz and made an alike product called "My Scene Dolls" They have lush glossy lips, almond shaped eyes and thick, black eyelashes, like the Bratz! Can you believe that? Isaac Larian, producer and CEO of MGA, was really heating up. So he made DVDS, albums, TV shows on FOX and even soundtracks! Even the website made him proud. But one thing is...Barbie doesn't have what Bratz have! Coz why? Bratz are the ONLY girls with a passion 4 fashion! Bratz ROCK! YEAH! AND Barbie STINKS!

Hi, girlz...

I think Bratz is totally edgy and totally cutting-edge. They have cooler lines than Barbie. Like, Rock Angelz, Bratz Girlz Really Rock, Diamondz, Fashion Pixiez, Genie Magic and more fun and stylin' names.

Look at Bratz! Barbie is pathetic. Bratz have glossy, thick lush lips, almond shaped eyes, long mascara eyelashes and superstar fashionable clothes! Bratz have cool, stylish long glossy hair. Barbie is all blond blond blond! Bratz have different looks, hair, clothes, skin tones and eyes! Barbie is soooooo plain.... Bratz is so today! You gotta love Bratz and hate stupid Barbie!

This is bad, bad, bad, double bad news! I've heard Barbie won the lawsuit and not Bratz! This is horrible news. Barbie has already been around for 50 years! Can you believe it?! Barbie had her turn to shine, now it's the Bratz turn!

Here's the whole story. I'll explain!
It all started when a boring Barbie doll was out in 1959, making huge success for ages, until the Bratz came. They were so funky and totally cool that everybody wanted to buy them! Sales of Barbie dropped, showing her age. Barbie sales dropped for 5%. Then there was a new line of Barbie dolls (which was years after Bratz) called the 'My Scene' dolls. I know, kind of a stupid name, right? Anyway, they looked like Bratz. Mattel copied the Bratz for a silly, billy line of Barbie dolls. And in 2007, Bratz lose the battle. As I said, Barbie had her turn to shine. How about Bratz? They only had eight years!!! OK, Bratz fans. Listen up!!!
Here's the deal. Let's not buy Barbie dolls and send letters that Bratz is the BEST BEST MOST COOLEST doll in the whole world and we want Bratz back. Then maybe Mattel can feel our pain and they will get Bratz back to their right place, on the top shelves while Barbie remains on the last shelf where rats are! Well, in 2010 February there will be NO MORE Bratz dolls. So hurry girls! Let's get dumpin' Mattel with all those terrible notes. GO BRATZ!!! BOOOOOO (100000000000000000000000000000X) Barbie
